Welcome to Harrison Township Packet

The Charter Township of Harrison Clerk's Office has administrative responsibility for Accounting and Elections. The Clerk's Office is the official record keeper for the Township and is charged with the responsibility of maintaining those records delegated to the Clerk's Office, including but not limited to: agendas, census information, contracts, grants, litigation, minutes, ordinances, and special assessments.

The Clerk also serves as the Chief Elections Official for the Township and administers all elections, voter registrations, and maintenance of the Qualified Voter File. The Clerk serves as the chairperson for the Township's Election Commission and as ex-officio Clerk to the Township's Civil Service Commission for the Fire Department.

The Clerk's Office is also the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) coordinator for the community and all requests for information under the act should be directed to them. FOIA forms are available here. FOIA forms can be emailed to tsalgot@harrison-township.org or faxed to (586) 466-1420.  Rates for FOIA documents vary. They are dependent upon the amount, type, and time allotted to the request. 

Our Office also issues vendor permits that allow for solicitation within the community, including door-to-door sales. Licensed vendors will have Township-issued photo identification on them and are required to follow all Township ordinances. Any unlicensed vendors can be reported to the Macomb County Sheriff at (586) 469-5151. You can check the status of vendors here.
