Installing New Meter Reading Devices

In recent months, many of the meter radio reading devices have failed due to their life expectancy.  Harrison Township Water Department will be replacing many of these older meter-reading devices with new ones called, Meter Transmitter Units (MTUs).  If your reading device is currently outside of your home, we will be coming out to replace it.  There is no charge for the change over. We ask that if you receive a green tag because your reading device is inside and you were not home at the time we stop by, that you call the office at 586-466-1425 to make an appointment during business hours to have our work order man install your new reading device for your water meter.

The meter reading devices ensures accurate meter readings and eliminates estimated water bills.  The new Meter Transmitter Units (MTUs) will save time and money.
