Crocker/ Metro Parkway
A three season display of donated plants and gardener talents welcome visitors and residents alike to Harrison Township. In the winter holiday lighting grace the Welcome sign. There are several smaller island gardens beneath the trees viewable from the Freedom Bike/Hike Trail.
A triangle of spruce trees marks the garden at this lakefront park on Jefferson Avenue. A patch of lilies forms Fiona's Garden along the North fence. These colorful lilies were rescued from the now razed Fiona's Teahouse in Detroit. A planting of plants native to Michigan was added in 2006 as a demonstration of low maintenance gardening. Waterfront park also features a butterfly garden that is maintained by the Beautification Commission (pictured below).
Tucker Park Garden
Tidy foundation plantings skirt this senior center on Ballard Road, a welcome splash of color for seniors visiting the center. Adjacent to the Center lies a tree planting.
